How we collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you use our website and buy from us.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by DIGITAL CORE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES LIMITED ("DIGITAL CORE", "we", "us"), a company registered in Nigeria under registration number RC 9922720. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 ("NDPA") and, where they apply to you, the data protection laws of other countries we serve.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password itself).
- Order details: the products you buy, prices, order numbers, and the status of payments, fulfilment, licences, downloads and subscriptions.
- Payment information: card payments are processed through the Mastercard Gateway. Card details are entered on the payment provider's secure page, not on our website. We receive and keep payment references and outcomes, not your full card details.
- Support enquiries: the name, email address, order number and message you send us.
- Newsletter: your email address and the time you gave consent, if you choose to subscribe.
- Technical and security data: your IP address and browser type when you sign in, used to keep your account secure, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
3. Why we use your data and our lawful basis
- To create your account, process orders and deliver products — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To provide customer support and handle refunds — contract and our legitimate interest in resolving issues.
- To keep the website and your account secure — our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse.
- To keep financial and tax records — compliance with legal obligations.
- To send newsletters and offers — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed to run our service, with:
- our payment provider (the Mastercard Gateway, operated through our acquiring bank), to process payments and refunds;
- our email delivery provider, to send order receipts, account emails and (if you subscribe) newsletters;
- our website hosting and database providers;
- software vendors, only where needed to activate a product you have bought from them through us;
- professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take steps required by the NDPA to make sure your data receives an adequate level of protection.
6. Cookies
We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in and to protect your session. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
7. How long we keep data
We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations or to resolve disputes. Support messages are kept while they are useful for handling your enquiry and related follow-ups. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; we then keep a record of the unsubscribe so we don't contact you again.
8. Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used;
- access a copy of your personal data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased, where the law allows;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before;
- complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
To exercise these rights, contact us as described below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, encryption of licence keys at rest and restricted staff access. No system is completely secure, so we also monitor and maintain our systems continuously.
10. Children
Our products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page.
